Local engine: what stays on the device

When you choose the Local engine, OCR and translation run on the computer where the app is installed. You do not need a product account for this route. Unlimited local translations are unlocked by a one-time purchase, with free updates as stated in the application.

The first launch may download or install the local translation runtime, so keep a network connection available for that setup step. After the runtime is present, local jobs do not use the product cloud translation workflow.

DeepL or Google: text leaves for the provider you configure

If you enable your own DeepL or Google translation API, recognised text is sent to that provider. Imagoo does not treat this as local-only processing. Confirm the provider's data terms, key storage, and regional rules before you attach a key to catalogue work.

Cloud AI: images leave for the product cloud service

Cloud high-quality translation and optional cloud AI editing require sign-in. Image data is sent to the product cloud service and points are deducted per image. Cloud input is JPG, PNG, and WebP. Cloud translation can skip packaging text when that option is enabled.

Choosing a route for sensitive material

Do not select cloud processing for material that your organization is not permitted to transmit. Prefer the local engine when images must remain on the installed device. See privacy and cookies for website analytics.
